Case Study

Promoting Safe and Responsible Chemical Management

Factory Transformation

The Challenge

Dyeing and processing facilities handle a wide range of chemicals that can pose risks to workers, the environment, and business continuity if not stored and managed properly. Inadequate segregation of incompatible chemicals, limited hazard awareness, and inconsistent safety practices can increase the likelihood of accidents, spills, fires, and environmental contamination.

CRE's Approach

CRE conducted a comprehensive assessment of chemical storage and handling practices within the facility. The initiative included risk assessment, identification of compatible and incompatible chemical storage requirements, collection and management of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), display of hazard communication information, worker awareness training, PPE usage guidance, and strengthening of fire prevention and emergency response procedures.

Best-practice storage systems and operating procedures were developed and implemented to support sustainable compliance.

The Outcome

The factory improved its chemical storage practices, strengthened hazard communication, enhanced worker awareness, and implemented safer handling procedures. The project reduced operational risks, improved environmental protection measures, and established a systematic approach to chemical safety management, contributing to a safer workplace and more sustainable operations.

Impact: Reduced chemical-related risks through improved storage, hazard communication, worker awareness, and emergency preparedness, creating a safer workplace while supporting environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
